Instagram Reels are no longer just for influencers—they’re a revenue-driving tool for brands. But with the algorithm changing constantly and competition fiercer than ever, how can you make Reels that not only get views but drive actual sales?
1. Start With a Hook (0-3 seconds)
The first three seconds determine whether someone scrolls past or watches. Use bold text overlays, shocking statements, or visual movement. Don’t introduce yourself—hook them first, then explain.
2. Know the Algorithm
Instagram boosts Reels that have:
High watch time (people viewing it all the way through)
Replays
Saves and shares
So, create content that’s either highly valuable, entertaining, or controversial. Aim for curiosity and relatability.
3. Use Captions and On-Screen Text
85% of Reels are watched on mute. If your messaging is only in audio, you’re losing most of your viewers. Use clear captions or text to highlight key points. Tools like ETE’s editing service ensure your captions are not only accurate but styled to boost engagement.
4. Add a Call-to-Action
If you want sales, your viewer must know what to do next. Add a strong CTA like “DM us to get started,” “Click the link in bio,” or “Comment ‘READY’ and we’ll message you.”
5. Post Consistently, Not Randomly
Reels work best when posted frequently. Train the algorithm and your audience to expect consistent content. At least 3–4 Reels per week builds momentum. Batch-record your content and let your editing team handle the polish. Creating Reels that perform isn’t luck—it’s a formula. Start with a hook, deliver fast-paced value, and end with a CTA. Partner with ETE to take the stress out of editing or needing to even post and start creating Reels that actually move the needle.
